Our Review

Tata young citizens fund has made its inception in the year1995. It has delivered exceptional returns in these 8 years. It has beat consistently matched the benchmark cirisl balanced index in 1 year, 3 year as well as 5 year returns. Top equity holdings are TCS, Infosys, ITC, HDFC and HDFC bank.

The fund is exclusively for children in the age group 3 months – 18 years. It balances between equity and debt instruments to provide a balanced investment. Though the fund has done really for its investors, beware of the 3 year lock-in. This should not bother you if you are looking to invest for a long term for your child.
