PF / EPF Status Check Made Online

Employee Provident Fund (EPF) members can now access their account statements online at


This facility is available only to active members who are currently contributing to their EPF accounts.

Active members, whose electronic challan-***-return is already uploaded, can download their e-Passbook every month at the EPFO website:


Holders of inoperative accounts, however, cannot access this facility. For inactive members, an e-Passbook is available on special requests.


Inoperative accounts are those where there is no contribution in the last 36 months.


Members of EPFO can register themselves on the website by using any of the following Photo ID numbers:

·         PAN

·         Aadhaar Card

·         National Population Registry

·         driving licence

·         passport

·         voter ID

·         ration card


They can use their mobile phone numbers as passwords.


Once registered, a member can download the e-Passbook by entering his/her account number.



Under the e-Passbook service, only one registration will be allowed against one mobile number, and a member can download the passbook for only one account number under one establishment.
