Q. Can I avail home loan repayment benefits, even if the house is not fully constructed?

Answer: The entire amount can be availed as pre-construction interest equally over a period of 5 years (20% p.a). However, this plus the regular interest (component of the EMI), cannot exceed 1.5 lacs in the case of a self-occupied house property.
