Franklin India Smaller Companies fund (g) has made its inception in the year 2006. It has managed to beat the benchmark index i.e. Sensex in the 1, 3 and 5 year returns. Top holdings of the fund include Finolex cables, Amara Raja, Pidilite and IPCA.

The fund focuses on long term opportunities in stocks. The stock picking for this fund has been brilliant. It has given exceptional returns in the past few years. It may not be a flash in the pan. You should be looking to be in this fund for a longer period.
