I was sating in a company leased appartment and not in a company owned apartment. But since i had not filed the HRA form, the company took the accomodation as Company owned and the value of perquisite was calculated basis that.

 In my form 16 and Form 12B, my perquisite has been calculated as 1,11,000 where as it should be 20,00. This is a tax implication of about 30,000 (30% of around 90,000) but the company is saying they cant reissue the Form 12 B. This is for the financial year 2007-2008. is there anything i can do? Since it invloved significant amount of money i dont want to leave it like this.
