Hi, i just read on the news site that from FY 2011-12, providing the details of bank accounts held in foreign counties is mandatory. The ITR forms have also been updated for the same. Can you please let me know if this is required? Do I need to file return using ITR 2 in this case or some other form? Thanks.

Yes, it is mandatory to provide foreign account information as well from this Financial Year 2011-12 onwards.
