    Sir,

    I have a mediclaim from New India Assu & the cover starts from 8th April every year.This year I've paid the renewal premium(Rs 7000/-) on 23/03/11 for 2011-12. Can I claim deduction of the premium amount for the F.Y. 2011-12 or it is eligible for the F.Y.2010-11? Please oblige.

     dear docs

    u will get premium paid certificate from insurance company and it will be eligible for FY2011-12
