    Am I eligible for AY 2009-2010?

     I turned 65 on 1st August 2008. Will I be a senior citizen for Assessment Year 2009-2010? Also, am I eligible for the exemption for the entire year? What will be the basic exemption limit for me?

     You will be treated as Senior Citizen for the AY 2009-10. You will get the beneifts for full year and your Basic limit will be Rs.225000
