Hi This is Amit Sharma, I have taken a Home Loan from ICICI Bank in the year 2007, the property is a let out property and the Loan Amount is 32 Lacs. This February i have repaid the Load in complete, out of my sources. I need to know If there are ANY TAX BENEFITS for the the amount as paid back to the ICICI Bank against the Home Loan. Something similiar to Pre-Posession EMI or Lumpsum payment done to the Bank for awailing a Home Loan. Regards Amit Sharma

principal amount repaid gets deduction of upto Rs 1 lakh under section 80C; no tax benefit under section 24b.
