A lot of people in India have heard the terms sub-prime, sub-prime loans, sub-prime Crisis etc. But very few people actually understand what these terms mean exactly, and what impact the sub-prime issue has had on the market world-wide. In fact even people in finance, in India and elsewhere, have struggled to piece this puzzle together – it is a bit complicated after all. The goal of this video was to use metaphors and imagery to make the sub-prime issue less mysterious to the common (i.e. non-finance) folk. Some concepts have been simplified in the interests of clarity, so all you financial geniuses out there please bear with us!
