Answer :  Most Unit Linked Policies have a lock in of 3 years. After 3 years, you can either convert your policy as Fully Paid Up or Withdraw from the policy.
If you continue as a Fully Paid Up policy, the Fund Management Charges, Admin Charges and Mortality Charges will be deducted. There will be no allocation charge as you are not investing any money.
Almost all insurance companies recover the cost of the policy in the initial period; so it may not make sense to exit out of the scheme without analysing why you took the policy in the first place.
